Lauren A Kirn
Lauren Kirn is a PhD candidate working in the School of Biological Sciences in the Faculty of Science at Monash University. She uses fruit flies to study the complex interactions between the micronutrient copper with cell death responses and protein degradation, with her work having implications in understanding how diseases like cancer and neurodegeneration work. Graduating at the end of 2025, she is currently searching for opportunities to continue pursuing ubiquitination research as a research assistant or postdoctoral researcher.
