Since the mid 1980s tag affinity chromatography has successfully been used to purify recombinant proteins. This technology has allowed many researchers to successfully purify proteins for protein structural or functional studies. However, the presence of residual amino acids from the tag after purification has hindered the use of tag affinity chromatography in biotherapeutics.  Cytiva™ Protein Select™ resin and tag provide one-step chromatography that does the affinity purification, a traceless tag cleavage, and tag removal. This technology enables new applications not previously possible with tags. In this poster presentation Cytiva™ demonstrates how to purify a protein tagged with Cytiva™ Protein Select™ is simple and in one chromatography step does the affinity purification, a traceless tag cleavage, and the tag removal.
